B.2 Biography

Pilar Zeta is an Argentinian multimedia artist based in Mexico City whose practice operates at the intersection of philosophy, symbolism, mysticism, mathematics, and postmodern architecture. Through portals, thresholds, and archetypal forms, particularly the egg, she explores how meaning is constructed through geometry and perception. Her work takes the form of sculptural and architectural environments that invite contemplation, transformation, and a reconfiguration of reality.

Zeta’s practice is defined by large-scale international installations that merge ancient architectural references with futuristic aesthetics. A pivotal moment in her trajectory came in 2021 with Hall of Visions, an immersive installation presented during Miami Art Week at Faena Miami Beach. Conceived as a shared experiential space, the work was activated by a guided meditation led by Deepak Chopra, reinforcing its role as a site for collective introspection.

In 2022, her work expanded through The Space of Variations at Praz Delavallade in Los Angeles, which examined the fluid boundary between physical and digital realities, followed by Future Transmutation during Miami Art Week, a monochromatic installation structured by mathematical and esoteric systems. In 2023, Doors of Perception was presented during MACO Art Week in Mexico City, introducing large-scale marble structures conceived as points of passage emphasizing material weight, bodily movement, and symbolic transition.

That same year, Zeta realized Mirror Gate at the Giza Pyramids as part of Art D’Égypte – Forever Is Now III, positioning her language of portals within the lineage of sacred architecture and establishing a dialogue between ancient cosmologies and speculative futures.

In 2025, she presented The Observer Effect during Art Basel Miami Beach, an eight-portal installation activated by light, reflection, and a live soundscape created in collaboration with pioneering ambient musician Laraaji. Presented at sunrise and sunset, the sound activation transformed the shoreline into a contemplative field and became an integral layer of the work’s exploration of perception, observation, and participation.

Zeta’s next major public sculpture will appear at Place du Louvre in Paris, created in Egyptian heritage stone and conceived as a threshold between past cosmologies and future possibilities. She has also collaborated with Coldplay as an art director, a role that earned her a Grammy nomination in 2021.
